Comtrex Communications has begun supplying 2-way radio accessories to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD), including their elite tactical detective squad known as the S.I.S. (Special Investigation Section).  “The LAPD’s S.I.S unit is tasked with tracking down and apprehending the most dangerous, hard-core criminals in the city, and we are happy to have the capability to equip them with what they need to do such a demanding job.
